Have you ever thought one or more of the following?
“Every day is the same routine, I don’t enjoy life at all. Life is boring. I feel like there should be more to life than this but I don’t know how to find out what that is.”
“I don’t love myself and I hurt my body, health and mind.”
“Communication between my partner and I is not good. I don’t know if I should continue the relationship or not.”
“I don’t have the courage to be myself. My life and personality is made up of imitating other people.”
“I feel constantly stressed at work.”
Life is full of hardships and uncertainty. It is easy to feel like you are drowning in unfulfilled dreams and wasting your life. You want it to change, but are not sure how to do that.
In order to begin a process of transformation, you have to identify what areas of your life are hindering your growth. If you said yes to one or more of the situations above, then you will greatly benefit from our approach to self-improvement.
Transformation starts with the realization that you are unhappy with how your life is at the present moment and make the decision to take concrete steps towards achieving this change in whatever form it takes on.
Only then can you actually begin to transform your mindset and behavior and facilitate growth in your life.
There are countless ways that people can approach their journey towards greater happiness.
Some take pills prescribed to them by psychiatrists or enroll in therapy sessions with psychologists. This is the most traditional form of therapy out there and can really help those struggling with mental health or addiction.
People seek out life coaches to help target specific areas of their lives that they feel need improvement. This is helpful for those who feel lost or are trying to improve their lives but can not figure out how to do it on their own.
Others use family and friends as support systems, which is a good alternative to more expensive forms of therapy, like psychiatrists.
People often turn to religion in times of struggle to connect with their spiritual self so that they can find a greater sense of purpose, community of people with similar values, and identity.
Yet still others turn to more materialistic forms of pleasure, like binge eating, shopping, drugs or money in order to feel happy. These kinds of things do more damage than good because they provide a false sense of happiness that is temporary.
However, this happiness is temporary and not sustainable because it only ever leads to addiction and excess. It is impossible to find true inner peace and happiness through materialism.
Utilizing one of the methods above may work for you, but sometimes choosing only one path or harmful paths to self-improvement is not enough to ensure that you are creating the best possible self-help scenario for yourself.

Here is more information on the methods we use:
Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP)
NLP is a type of cognitive therapy that works by altering a person’s thoughts and behaviors to achieve a desired outcome. It is based off of the idea that every person has an internal world “map” made up of conscious and subconscious behaviors, mindsets and values picked up from sensory experiences. There is a connection between neurological processes, language and the behavioral patterns engraved in your internal world “map.” NLP specialists work with this connection to help you change in order to attain certain goals in your life. NLP practitioners use various methods such as:
NLP is especially useful for people struggling with defining clear work, family or other personal goals, for people who are lacking in motivation or positive self-perception and for people who tend to, either consciously or subconsciously, limit their beliefs.
The objective of positive psychology is to reduce the amount of negativity in a person’s thoughts, behavior and overall attitude towards life. This type of practice strays from the more traditional approaches of therapy, which tend to identify and hone in on the negative experiences that a person has had in their life. Positive psychology emphasizes adopting a positive and forward thinking mindset in order to boost the quality of a person’s everyday life, which translates to more overall happiness in the future.
A life coach gives broad guidance on topics relating to major life decisions, a poor work-life balance, career concerns, general life stressors and bad habits. Life coaches are useful for people who want to work on targeted areas of their lives that they feel need improvement. they work with people to create action plans for the purpose of helping their clients take tangible steps toward solving their targeted improvement areas.
Gestalt therapy incorporates psychotherapy in a way that allows people to focus on the reality of their lives at the present, instead of how they perceive them. However, Gestalt therapy uses the re-enactment of past situations in people’s lives as oppose to standard talk therapy. This kind of therapy helps people become more aware of how their own behavior is inhibiting their potential for happiness. Gestalt therapy is useful for those who are not aware of the role they are playing in their own unhappiness and helps with treating anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, difficulties in relationships and sometimes even physical ailments. In a typical session, Gestalt therapists will ask their patients to re-enact certain scenarios from their past and then ask them how they feel about those scenarios as the present moment. It is all about experiencing your emotions rather than simply talking about them.
Hygge, Tantra and Ikigai are three kinds of lifestyles that proven to help people lead less stressful and more productive and fulfilling lives. They all share common themes of living in the present moment and appreciating what is around you. InnerCamp provides tools and advisement on how to adopt one or all of these lifestyles into your life.
Hygge can be defined as the “art of creating intimacy” in your home, in your relationships, and in general day-to-day life. Hygge is about bringing coziness, charm, familiarity and comfort to your life. It can manifest itself in many different forms but usually your home is where hygge becomes tangible. Practicing hygge helps people combat boredom and learn to be more grateful for their lives by finding beauty and wonder in what are commonly thought of as normal, mundane things.
Tantra is an ancient Indian tradition derived from both Hinduism and Buddhism. It is a “quest for spiritual enlightenment and salvation” that stems from leading a certain lifestyle and practicing certain rituals intended to help you start carrying out actions that end with several positive outcomes. With tantra, you learn to tap into the energy around you to discover more about yourself and your relationships with others.
Ikigai is a Japanese concept that means a “reason for being.” Finding your ikigai allows you to feel more fulfilled and you do this by taking a critical look at yourself to identify your passion, mission, profession and vocation. In other words, you look for something that you are good at, something that you love, something that the world needs and something that you can get paid for. Once you find a “something” that incorporates all of these aspects, then you have found your ikigai—your life purpose. If you find something that only incorporates some of these aspects, then that is not your ikigai because you will still fail to find satisfaction, comfort, delight and complacency without the side effect feelings of uselessness, emptiness, poverty or uncertainty.
